Preschool

Redeemer Lutheran Preschool's purpose is to help students grow in their relationships with God, others, and themselves, to help them acquire knowledge and understanding, and to develop talents and skills for responsible living and service. Our mission is: Teaching, Living, Sharing Jesus' Love. "Let the little children come to me, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14

What does our Preschool offer?

An inclusive curriculum that provides a wide array of activities to go with the Bible story for each week. Voyages by Concordia Publishing House

Developmentally appropriate activities in all areas of curriculum.

Curriculum balanced between child-centered and teacher-directed activities.

Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Licensed, Christian teachers and qualified volunteer assistants.

Emphasis on involvement with the Preschool children from the Redeemer church community and parents.

Our Daily Schedule:

Free choice time with various learning centers to choose from: toys and manipulatives, blocks, discovery, sensory, art, dramatic play, library, writing, readiness activities.

Jesus Time: Bible story, songs, prayer, group activities

Snack

Story Time

Large/Small group: sharing bag, readiness activities, calendar, music

Large Muscle: group activities, large motor practice; indoor and outdoor

Field Trips during the year (primarily with the 4’s classes)

Special days and guests planned throughout the year

Service projects for our community and world

What are the opportunities for parent involvement?

Parent newsletters, monthly calendars, and letters.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are held two times during the year.

Opportunities to assist in the classroom and on field trips.

Special family events: Grandparent's Day, Teddy Bear Tea w/Mom, Dad's Day

Family projects

May assist with planning of Christmas service, National Lutheran Schools Week activities, Spring Picnic and carnival
